# TURN package role For BigBlueButton 3.0 on Ubuntu 22.04 amd64. The BBB 3.0 worker installation already includes coturn. Use this role when provisioning a dedicated TURN host with the self-hosted repository. Package roots: coturn, certbot, openssl, logrotate, net-tools, stun-client, ufw, ca-certificates. Exact package filenames are in manifests/turn-role.txt. coturn itself provides turnutils_stunclient and turnutils_uclient. The BBB administration page also suggests stuntman-client for testing, but that package is unavailable from the active Jammy APT repositories; use the included test clients instead. An isolated apt-get simulation with an empty dpkg status and only the published Aptly source resolved these roots and 162 total packages. Aptly snapshot verification found no missing dependencies. No TURN service was installed or configured during publication. The dedicated TURN host still needs its own DNS name, TLS certificate, shared secret, firewall/relay-port rules, and BBB turn-stun-servers.xml settings. Keep the secret and private key outside this bundle. The BBB documentation's standalone setup section predates the inclusion of coturn in BBB 2.6; check the current BBB 3.0 configuration when deploying.
